Brick Paver Hardscape and Landscape Repair
Repair of Existing Paver Projects
Allscapes specializes in repairs for any existing brick paver patios, walkways, and driveways as well as all types of retaining walls. We have the solution for any project that has fallen apart or settled as a result of an improper installation. Over the years, we have performed hundreds of repairs for existing hardscapes. Some repairs are as simple as levelling a few square feet of brick or gluing a couple of caps that have come loose, and some repairs require a complete rebuild to ensure that the hardscape will be durable and long lasting.

Installing the Proper Base Material
One of the most important factors in providing quality, long lasting installation is your choice of base material and how the base is installed. When I am inspecting a paver or retaining project that has failed, I often come to find that the wrong base material was used, or an insufficient amount of base was used. Some home owners insist on us going over the existing base to save money, but if the base material or amount of base is incorrect, our repair will only be a temporary fix and failure of the hardscape is bound to occur again. If there is nothing wrong with the base material and failure occurred from some other source, then using the same base material is okay.
Providing the Correct Pitch for Water Flow
Another important factor in building quality, long lasting paver patio, walkway, or driveway is to provide a pitch to your hardscape to allow proper water drainage. If water is settling on your patio in an area that does not contain any angle, it will continue to settle that area and start affecting the areas around it. During the winter, if your patio is holding water, it will freeze and expand that area. If we are building a patio where the back of the house has a one-sided wall (patio only meets up to one wall), then we would make the patio level from side to side and pitch the patio away from the house. The amount of pitch we apply to our hardscapes can be discussed upon consultation.
Educating Our Clients of the Problem and Providing a Plan to Repair
